An environmentally mindful approach
Concrete countertops are made from materials (cement, sand, and aggregates) that are abundant and have a comparatively low environmental impact being acquired relative to granite. There are many recycled materials(crushed glass, metakaolin, etc.) that can be incorporated into the mix. Metakaolin, for example, allows for the reduction of the cement content, the most environmentally "taxing" ingredient in the mix.
Our products are made locally with most mix ingredients sourced locally.
Steps are taken to ensure maximum use/resuse of form and raw materials.
During the grinding/polishing process, water is collected, recycled and filtered for proper disposal.
We offer various products for sealing the concrete. Rest assured that any one chosen emits low to no VOC's.
Working towards LEEDS certification.
